The most notable improvement launched today is the new dashboard. Not only do we think it looks great, it allows for faster server configuration.
The new dash has two layouts for viewing servers, drives, and network resources: Icon View and Tree View. Icon View is the view more similar to the original dash.
The big shortcoming of the original dash was the separation of servers and drives: servers on top, drives down below, with no connection between the two. This has been corrected. On the Icon View, drives are placed immediately to the right of their respective servers.

And, server-drive combinations on a common VLAN are fenced by a graphical representation of the VLAN.
What’s completely new is Tree View, which displays servers, drives, and VLANs as a graph. This is especially useful if you’re managing many servers and drives. (For example, it’s the view we use for managing the cluster.)

Both layouts allow a running server’s name, CPU allocation, and VNC password to be edited without restarting the server or leaving the page. Likewise, a mounted drive’s name can be edited.
Stop the server, and RAM can be edited without leaving the page. And, un-mount a drive, and it can be re-sized without leaving the page.
VLANs can now be tagged with a name, like “database network.”

Running servers and mounted drives are white. Stopped servers and un-mounted drives are gray.
The original dashboard remains available for those that prefer its simplicity or dislike JavaScript or merely wish to avoid change.
We think the new dash looks better, is more functional, and better organizes your account’s resources. Enjoy.
