How To

Change CPU/RAM/Cores

  1. Firstly, power down your server so that you can change its configuration, then click on the Edit button.
  2. Here you can change your CPU to any value between 500 and 20,000 core-MHz. Ensure your paid subscription is sufficient to cover the increase. If you need to pay more, you will be informed when you try to power the server back on.
  3. Similarly you can increase the amount of RAM allocated to your virtual machine, from the minimum of 256MB to the maximum of 32GB.
  4. To change the number of simulated cores, simply look under Advanced Options at the first drop-down. The default choice assigns a number based on the core MHz that you have chosen to allocate it, alternatively, you can specify up to 8 cores.

And that’s it. It’s that simple to change the CPU, RAM and cores on your Open Hosting server.
